How to Use

The Calendar tools have the ability to create calendar events that are recurring, or one-time events.

Recurring Events: Notice that on the calendar below, there are Executive Board Meetings held on the third Thursday of every month, and then General Membership Meetings are held on the last Sunday of every month. You can set up your calendar to hold any of the following types of events:

  • Committee Meetings
  • Age Group Activities
  • Deadlines
  • Dates to Remember
  • One-time events

Email Reminders:  When you click on an event, you have the opportunity to save it to your desktop so that your Outlook or other email program will automatically enter it into your calendar.  You can set it up to remind you hours or minutes before the event occurs, so you will never forget a meeting again!

Color Coding:  The age group activities can be color-coded so that you can see at a quick glance whether or not you need to be somewhere with your child on any given day.  Hey, every little bit helps!!

Mouse-Hover Tool Tips:  Hover your mouse over any of the activities, and you will see more information about the event.  This keeps you from having to click to find out more.

Category Filter:  If you think the calendar looks too crowded, notice that there is a drop-down list from which you can choose the category you are interested in.  Just click the category and watch the calendar restrict itself to just the items that fall under the category you selected.
